The Driest Place on Earth
The driest spot on The planet are the McMurdo Dry Valleys, in Antarctica.
The valleys have very low humidness and practically no ice or snow cover - the biggest ice-free region on the continent.
Nearby mountain tops are higher enough, so they prevent seaward flowing snow from getting the valleys.
The winds can get to speeds of 322 kph.
If an animal dies there, it gets mummified for many years, because there is quite little native life to decompose it.
